We will see
I am going out of town for Thanksgiving. I am leaving my son at home to take care of the animals and he has to work and go to meetings anyway. We'll see how it goes. There is nothing left to steal, nothing that matters....

Good luck. I can well imagine your fears, but sometime you have to take a step like this.

I think it is horrible that we feel this way. The way of addiction is so painful for families of an addict.

It's great that you are at this step...trust...it is now his to deserve it... A success here will show you the way forward so much more clearly! Rooting for you all!

Trust doesn't really enter the picture.  I do trust him to feed the pets, but I am sure he will have a party while I'm gone.  What has changed is this..........I am no longer his hostage.  I'm not staying in town to try and control his behavior.  I am living my life.  If he screws up while I'm gone, he will suffer the appropriate consequences.
