  • My son was murdered February 8,2004. No words could express the void I carry in my heart. The drugs after being clean over 14 years. A good father, a good son gone in a hotel room that I would not put my dogs in. I ask why so many times. Yes all 4 are in prison. Some how it does not do a thing for me. My grief is over bearing at times. God help me. Some days I just can't go on. Miss you much each day, love you MOM

I STILL DON'T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED AND YOUR MOTHER'S HIT TEAM WON'T TELL ME MUCH. YOU KNOW MATTHEW WE LIVED TOGETHER FOR A FEW YEARS AND THE RELATIONSHIP WE HAD WAS THERE BECAUSE WE DID LIVE TOGETHER, BUT MAN I'M KIND OF GLAD THAT YOU'RE NOT HERE TO SEE HOW YOUR PEEPS SUCK. I WON'T GO INTO DETAILS TOO DEEPLY, BUT IF YOU COULD COME BACK TO TELL THEM THAT THE HATE AND LIES THEY CARRY FOR THE LIVING IS ONLY GOING TO COST THEM BEFORE GOD. THEY MADE A CIRCUS OF YOUR FUNERAL AND YOUR MOMS PRETENDED NOT TO KNOW ME. I GRIEVE FOR YOU MATTHEW. I MOURN YOU BEING GONE ALONE.. GAL 7:6 SAYS " DON'T FOOL YOURSELF, WE CAN'T MOCK GOD. WHAT EVER WE PLANT THAT'S WHAT'S GOING TO GROW". SOME PEOPLE PLANT PEAS AND LOOK FOR CORN, BUT PEAS WILL SPRING UP FOR SURE, FOR SURE. I LOVE YOU MAN, AND I PRAY YOU MADE PEACE WITH GOD BEFORE YOU DIED. TO BE ABSENT FROM THE BODY IS TO BE IN THE COMPANY OF THE LORD. I MISS YOU MATTHEW AND THE EVIL OF MAN'S HEART CAN NOT PULL MY LOVE FOR YOU AWAY. GOODBYE LITTLE BROTHER, I LOVE YOU, AND PEACE OUT KAVON.

  • Mike Moris & his wife died in 2009, they were driving home & were almost there when they were struck by a drunk driver. Mike was one of the best people I've ever known, and I still miss him. We worked together & he certified me as a forklift driver in 2004. He was quick with the comments & his sarcasm naver failed to amuse! He was an AA sponsor & even though he knew I was an addict, he never judged.

  • Mandy Ladeceaur died Sept. 24 2010 - Mandy was a beautiful person. She was in rehab a few hours away from home but in my home town. Whhen she got kicked out of the rehab center it was raining and cold outside and Mandy was suppose to sleep outside with a listerine drinking junkie. I didnt want this poor girl sleeping outside so I decided to let her sleep on my floor in my room. Mandy was a oxy addict she was going ttrew withdrawls so she begged me to find her something and a friend of mine brought over some methadone. Handed her the bottle and told her to talk a sip. She ended up drinking half the bottle. We kinda asked her to puke some of it out but she wouldn't. She seemed ok. Night time came she still looked fine. We all went to bed. I woke up the next day and tried to wake Mandy up but she was dead gone. This still affects me and I miss her everyday. I miss you Mandy

  • Father - 3/19/1911-8/18/1975 - Died of cirrhosis from alcoholism. He was my father, a kind, brave, loving, intelligent man who struggled with depression and addiction through WWII until the day he died in '75. I am thankful he was my father, as he told me he loved me every single day.  Unfortunately, from a young age, I knew his affair with alcohol trumped everything, even me.

  • George S. - April 11, 1947 - June 21, 2004 - He was a life long alcoholic and died due to this.  He was a captain of a fire department in a large city in Ontario, Canada. His addiction to alcohol was known at his job and because of this he was given the ultimatum, "Go to treatment or loose your job". He didn't follow the guidelines set out by the treatment facility before entering treatment. He was supposed to stop consuming alcohol for 72 hours prior to admission and as a result had a stroke. This stroke affected his eyesight, which in turn sealed his fate as far as his job went........ Fast forward 12 years later..... On May 11, 2004, my father decided to 'celebrate' the birth of his grandson, my son, by consuming a 40 ouncer of vodka, a box of white wine, a case of 24 beer and another 40 ouncer of rum, all against strong advice from his doctors. His doctor told him a week before this, 'Your next drink may well be your last drink, George." Needless to say, one more ambulance ride later and a little over a month in hospital, he died. It was June 21, 2004, Father's Day. He didn't know where he was, who he was or who I was. He couldn't eat anymore, speak anymore, think anymore. He died a horrific death. I am content now, knowing that he is out of his life long misery. He never told me just what went on in his life that caused him to turn to alcohol and what it was that kept him going back to it. After his stroke, he was on a mission to just end it all. His livelihood had been taken away from him. He had no purpose left once he could no longer work. His occupation had defined him as a person for 30 years and not being able to work anymore destroyed him inside. His stroke affected his vision, his thought process and he was often confused about what was going on around him. My husband and I looked after him as best we could for 12 years before he passed on. I am of the opinion that he planned his death. Once my son was born, I think he consumed all that alcohol because he knew that it would lead to his demise. He was happy and content to see that his grandson was healthy and his job on this earth was done and he was satisfied. I believe that after he saw that things were as they should be, he decided to move on to whatever it is that is beyond death. I miss him everyday. Even though he was an alcoholic for my entire lifetime and his as well, he was a wonderful father. Rest in peace dad................ In loving memory of George S. April
