About Me

I am 26 years old, and have been sober since 2008. I started smoking pot when I was 13 and climbed my way up the drug ladder from there. Later in life my drug of choice became opiates. Any and everything I could get my hands on. Oxys, tabs, fetynal patches, and so on... I recently became a father in 2008, and wanted to get sober for my son. I am now on suboxone and slowly weening myself off. And to all you nay-sayers who think I am just trading one addiction for another, you couldn't be more wrong. Although I am still dependent on medication I no longer am addicted to the lifestyle that came along with my opiate addiction. No more driving around for hours looking for drugs, finding middle men to get me drugs, getting ripped off by those middle men, destroying my relationships with my friends and family, stealing to get my fix, and so on... Suboxone is really working well for me and I do not consider my addiction as having been traded for another.
