Where am I?

About Me

I lived 30 years in active addiction. I tried many ways to stop using but nothing worked until I suffered enough to have an honest desire to stop using and learn how to live. I came into recovery out of desperation,it was either get clean or die. I had no other options left.

I am a member of Narcotics Anonymous only. I work the steps of one program. I have a sponsor who has a sponsor who has a sponsor........ I am working the steps for the third time using a third method of doing so.

I try to live the N.A. 12 step program of recovery to the best of my ability just for today.

I am involved in N.A. service as a volunteer on the local help line 24/7 and am involved with a nationwide committee of A.S.I.S. N.A. members writing new N.A. literature by addicts for addicts.

I have spent the last two years studying N.A. history and attending many N.A. history meetings, conferences and retreats.

Sometimes people interperet  things I say as being harsh. Believe me that is not my intenet. Honesty being the biggest part of my recovery I just will never sugar coat anything and will always tell the truth as best I can. If I want something sugar coated I'll go buy a bag of Jelly Beans.

Will words can not explain how grateful I am for you. You basicly started my recovery because without you passing my number along I would not be where I am today. I have a week clean now, go to meetings whenever possible, im checking into 6 months of treatment on tueday and ive met some amazing people in NA that really care about me and have been there for me day and night and have promised to stand by me through all of this. You are a true blessing. Thank You!  :)
