I found this site in September last year (2010) when my boyfriend of three years relapsed on meth and had to return to a court-ordered residential treatment program he's involved with, for 6th months.  He will be off paper at the end of February and has begun to act very shady again, spawning my return to the site.  I am so grateful for the comments I have already received, and thankful for the non-judgmental attitudes.  I have never done hard-core drugs, and although I don't understand the addict mentality completely, I have gone out of my way to research and find out everything I can about the "disease" (I only put that in quotes b/c of the controversial opinions over the language).  My 28 year-old heart has been broken over and over, and although I've been to Al-Anon meetings (which I do love going to) I've struggled to be able to really talk to anyone who seems to understand my situation exactly, or what I go through as a partner, and not a direct family member. Love is a powerful thing, and I sometimes wonder if there’s a possibility that Im addicted to it and that is my problem. I would love to hear a consistent answer to anything, but unfortunately addiction has many faces,..so the story goes.  I am thankful for a space and to get a chance to share myself and connect with Addicts, too, who can give me advice, as the ones I really need it from!  (I've been to NA meetings but always felt a little uncomfortable being there).  So, combining both sides here is amazing, and I'm always open to any feedback or suggestions or support from anyone who wants to just give me some!  Thank you guys for your support and help, and I hope to be able to offer my support, too.     ~ “One Day at a Time" is my horizons mantra~
