Friend stole pill bottle
So last night our friend was staying with us. My husband was recently prescribed a low dosage of Mar-amitriptyline to prevent headaches. He took out the bottle to take his pill and was telling our friend how he was prescribed these. He put them down on the table and my husband is very forgetful. So he went to look for the bottle and couldn't find it. We searched the entire house and no luck. After him and his friend went to work this morning I continued to search the house for it. I went into the guest room (where my husbands clothes are) thinking maybe he went in after his shower and placed it somewhere. Our friends bag was on the floor and I moved it to open the drawer and I heard pills shaking. So sure enough I opened the bag and my husbands pills were in there with his own medication bottle beside it. What do we do! Do we confront him? Please help

Yes.  The best thing that can happen to an addict is to recieve consequences for their actions.  By allowing an addict to "get away" without consequences, they have no reason to change.  Keep checking back for others to answer your question.........it's the weekend and not everyone checks this site each day.

I would certainly say that you were looking for this medication that is prescribed to your husband and in moving his bag, you heard that they had somehow gotten mixed up with his things. He will have to answer. At least then he knows you will have an eye on things. Depending on how good a friend he is, and how comfortable your husband would be with pushing it, you could express concern that these pills could be very dangerous if ingested by someone they are not prescribed to. This could lead into a discussion about the whole issue that could give you insight into his issues..
