In Response to: Difference Same. In recovery and clean means you have no drugs and alcohol in your system and are actively trying to stay sober with any of the following methods- therapy (rehab), 12 steps, AA/NA meetings, smart recovery, etc. Usually after completing the steps or being sober over a year, people identify themselves as "recovered addicts" instead of "in recovery". In Response to: Difference clean? means you haven't used within a certain period of time. In recovery? You are clean, and you are working some kind of program to maintain sobriety, consistently, and earnestly. Posted: 03/24/2016 10:39 PM Received 0 Thanks for this Post |

In Response to: Difference theres a dry addict and dry alcoholic and then there's a recoverying addict or recoverying alcoholic. dry means doing absolutely nothing just staying absitnence from drugs or alcohol. being in recovery means going to 12 step meetings, having a sponsor and working the steps.
