About Me

Hey Guys:  I'm a concerned mom of a 33 year old son who had so much going for him. Great looks, very high IQ, two parents (although divorced) who love and support him, two great kids; a son whose 10 and a daughter, 5.  Now his alcoholism is literally killing him.  I'm sure alot of you know the story.  He thinks he can stop by himself.  Doctor has told him that he must stop and they he will not be eligible for a liver transplant since he's an alcoholic.  He's been dipping since he was 15 and just recently started smoking.  Second divorce, rarely wants to see his kids.  Best rehab will be paid for.  His dad says that he has to reach rock bottom first and ask him for help.  He was voted best personality in school.    Already has neurological damage from excessive drinking, high cholesterol, blood pressure, pulmonary arterial disease, depression, panic attacks, etc.....

He has tons for drinking buddies and has always made friends easily.  I think our divorce crushed him.  He hasn't been the same since. Oh, he is living rent free in one of his dad's houses and collects scrap metal to sell for money.  Unbelievable.

It's killing me to feel like I'm sitting on the sofa watching my son take a spoonful of poison, raising it to his mouth and all I can do is watch him as he kills himself.

Of course, I'm clinically depressed and on strong anti depressants and starting counseling again this week.

The photo is me and my son's daughter.  She's an angel!

Thanks for listening
